The Inspections database program handles all checks and inspections on board your ships. The program is used on board to enter check and inspection data and at the office to view and
maintain the inspection history.
Checks are mostly carried out by the ship crew. These checks mostly have frequencies of one or two weeks and no certificates are issued.
Inspections are very often carried out by external certifying companies, like Lloyds. The inspection frequency is a lot less then the check frequency, e.g. each month, every six months or
every single year. The external certifying companies issue certificates which are kept track of on board and in the Inspections database.
The Inspections database can be used on board a ship to perform a number of tasks, which include:
- enter check and inspection data
- view check and inspection lists
- view check and inspection history
In the offices ashore the Inspections database can be used to review data and print reports, but not for entering the actual check and inspection data.
